We recognize the importance of protecting customers' personal information, comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and handle the personal information appropriately in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

In this Privacy Policy, personal information means information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, i.e., information about a living individual that can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description contained in such information (including information that can be easily collated with other information and thereby identify the specific individual), or information that contains personal identification codes.

(iii) When it is especially necessary to improve public health or to promote the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent; and
(iv) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by them to execute affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining customer's consent would interfere with the execution of such affairs.


5. Appropriate Acquisition of Personal Information

We will acquire personal information in an appropriate manner and will not acquire through fraud or other improper means.

 

6. Security management of personal information

We will supervise our employees as necessary and appropriate to ensure the safe management of personal information against risks such as loss, damage, falsification, and leakage. When we outsource all or a part of the handling of personal information, we will provide necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure that the outsourced company manages the personal information in a safe manner.

 

7. Provision to Third Parties

We will not provide personal information to any third party without prior consent of the customer, except in cases where disclosure is permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations; provided, however, that this does not apply in the following cases:

(i) When we provide personal information to a third party in connection with our outsourcing of all or a part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use;
(ii) When personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business due to merger or other reasons; and
(iii) When personal information is jointly used in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.


8. Disclosure of Personal Information

When a customer requests disclosure of his/her personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, we will disclose the information to the customer without delay after confirming that the request is made by the customer himself/herself (if the relevant personal information does not exist, we will notify the customer to that effect). However, this does not apply in cases where we have no obligation to disclose the information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.

 

9. Correction of Personal Information, etc.

When a customer requests correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") of his/her personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information because the information is incorrect, we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay, after confirming that the request is made by the customer himself/herself, to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use of the personal information, correct the personal information based on the investigaiton results, and notify the customer to that effect (if we decide not to make a correction, etc., we will also notify the customer to that effect). However, this does not apply in cases where we have no obligation to correct, etc. the information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.

 

10. Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.

When a customer requests suspension of use or deletion (hereafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") of his/her personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information because it has been handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use publicly announced in advance or because it has been obtained through fraud or other improper means, if we find that the request is reasonable, we will stop using or delete the information without delay after confirming that the request is made by the customer himself/herself, and notify the customer to that effect. However, this does not apply in cases where we have no obligation to suspend, etc. using the information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.

 

11. Use of Cookies and Other Technologies

  1. Our services may use cookies and similar technologies, which helps us grasp the usage status of our services and improve our services.
